Course Length: 5 Days

Overview:
This five-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to install, customize, and administer Microsoft Office Project Server.

Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the Project Server 2007 architecture and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) topology alternatives
  • Practice installing a single server environment for Project Server 2007 (PS 2007)
  • Understand application security for PS 2007
  • Describe the various IT roles needed for implementing PS 2007 and understand the work those roles will perform for PS 2007
  • Understand how the IT Architect works with the Business Architect for PS 2007
  • Understand the data elements and alternatives for customization of PS 2007
  • Describe end-user deployment requirements and options
  • Understand IT administration, operations, and maintenance of PS 2007
  • Describe IT concerns and work for migrating to PS 2007 from PS 2003
  • Understand troubleshooting the system
  • Describe alternatives for scalability and availability for PS 2007
  • Practice in a hands-on environment
